The Nigerian Baptist Convention Youth Conference, NBCYC, has felicitated the President of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, NBC, Rev Dr Israel Adelani Akanji on his diamond birthday celebration.
The youths in a press release signed and issued by the National President, Pastor Onajite Enunuaye described the celebrant as a diamond that was so precious to the kingdom business given his antecedent.
He described Akanji as the father of the youths whose contribution to youth development is inestimable.
He said, “Rev Dr Israel Adelani Akanji is our father. He is the immediate past Chairman of the Board, Youth and Students’ Ministries.
“While he served as the Chairman, he gave the youths maximum support. Even in his personal capacity and his Church, he has always been there for us.
“His election as the President of the Nigerian Baptist Convention is not accidental. It is divine and it is because of the youths and the future of our Convention.”
He added that the youths are assured that Akanji’s time as the President will lead to a great turnaround for the youth ministry.
The youths prayed that the Lord shall grant the celebrant good health and all resources needed to further propagate the gospel and advance God’s kingdom.
“We wish Zaki a happy 60th birthday and pray that he shall live his remaining years to please the Master”, Enunuaye prayed.
