The Nigerian Baptist Convention Youth Conference, NBCYC, has congratulated the new President of the Men’s Missionary Union, MMU, Dr Soye Asawo describing his emergence as God’s will.

The youths in a statement signed and released by their National President, Pastor Onajite Enunuaye assured the new leadership of the youths commitment to a growing and missionary-minded MMU.

Enunuaye also congratulated other newly elected officials. He enjoined them to support the kingdom vision of the new President of the Nigerian Baptist Convention, Rev Dr Israel Adelani Akanji especially in the area of missions.

The President said:
“We congratulate Dr Soye Asawo and other newly elected officials of our fathers, the Men’s Missionary Union, MMU, of the Nigerian Baptist Convention who assumed office at the just concluded 41st Congress held at First Baptist Church, Garki, Abuja.

“We are happy that Dr Asawo who assumed office by virtue of the demise of his predecessor, late Deacon Michael Oyegbile was confirmed as substantive National President given the fact that he has performed creditably well while he acted as President.

“We wish him and the new executive members a purposeful and productive tenure.

Enunuaye urged the new leadership to double their efforts in missions and evangelism stressing that the harvest is plenty but the labourers are few.

Elected alongside Asawo are Prince Dele Oyekanmi (1st Vice President, Programs & Outreach), Hon Toba Adaramola (2nd Vice President, Finance & Admin), Deacon Dr Paul Fregene (General Secretary), Seyi Ajayi (Assistant General Secretary), Moses Uvie- Odeghe (Public Relations Officer) and
Coun Ayobami Adekunle (Missions Officer).

Others are Deacon Romanus Okosun (Global Mission Board Representative), Deacon Adebowale Adelakun (Treasurer), Dr Julius Ojebode (Financial Secretary), Peter Natsa (Auditor), Bitebo Eregoba, RA Marshal, and Dauda Ayuba (Parade Commandant).
