BOA Mobilizes Support for Osogbo Catholic Diocesan Harvest

Former Deputy Governor of Osun State, Benedict Olugboyega Alabi (BOA), has mobilized friends and associates for
Osogbo Catholic Diocesan Harvest.

The Osogbo Catholic Diocesan Harvest which was held at the Pastoral Centre, Oke-Gada Ede, Osun State, on Saturday,


The programme was attended by members of all the catholic parishes across the State had the former Deputy Governor of the state, His Excellency, Benedict O. Alabi as its sponsor.

The programme started with the Holy Mass celebrated by the Bishop of the Diocese, Most Rev. John Akin Oyejola started at about 10 am. The homilist, Rev. Fr. Peter Adeyemi admonished the people in attendance to give all they have to support the work of God, for God loves a cheerful giver.

While addressing the congregation, the Bishop stated that the year’s Diocesan harvest is unique. He explained the essence of harvest, as the proceeds are expected to be channelled towards projects geared at hosting all the Catholic Bishops of Nigeria very soon.

The Sponsor of the Harvest, His Excellency Benedict Olugboyega Alabi, who anchored the Donation, explained how he has championed the project’s success by reaching out to his friends and announced the donation he is supporting the project with. He further promised to see to the timely and successful completion of the project for the memorable hosting of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria at the fixed date.

Also in attendance were the wife of Osun state Governor, Her Excellency, Ambassador Ngozi Erelu Adeleke; Hon. Moshood Adejare Yakub who represented the Governor, Rt. Hon. Timothy Owoeye(former Speaker, Osun HoA), Rtd. Col. Falabi, Hon. Gbolahan Ayegbayo, Alhaji M.I Adekunle, among other dignitaries.

The event was a huge success, and the Bishop heartily appreciated the Sponsor and all the invited guests for their generosity. He prayed to Almighty God to reward everyone who has donated and prayed for the journey mercies of all attendees.
