Members of the factional group of the Osun All Progressives Congress, APC, The Osun Progressives, TOP, on Wednesday stormed police headquarters protesting.

The protesters were led by Chairman of the APC factional group TOP, Alhaji Rasak Salensile and TOP Chairman, Reverend Adelowo Adebiyi.

The protesters stormed the police headquarters holding placards with different inscriptions stating their displeasure over the manner at which the police is handing Security of the state at this period of politics.

Speaking at the protesting group in front of the Osun police command, chairman Hon. Razak Salinsile said he has had one on one discussion with CP Wale Olokode several times and I told him that this is a political party, we are brother and sister ,children of the same parents.

“By the time all this mess will end it will be on the round table and he will not be there.

“We have been having similar rancors in distance past at the end of the day, we are always ending it at the round table because , however, bad we can not separate from each other.

“There have been insensite attacks on us by hoodlums and we have reported so many times, we write petitions and through phone calls nothing tangible has been done.

“We are suffering , we have been attacked so many places in Osun with our party members, people of our own tendency in our party have been severally attacked.

“It’s increasingly becoming difficult for some of us to go outside because of insecurity and we can not continue like this.

“We have been pushed to the wall and the consequence may not be palatable”

Addressing the protesters, Deputy Commissioner of Police of the Osun State Police Command, Valentine Uzor dismissed the allegation that the command is working with Governor Gboyega Oyetola led APC group

Uzor said the command is not an appendix of any political party “we are working inline with our constitutional responsibility .

“I was attentive with all your speeches , you will permit to say that probably your speeches is compersonate bia , police are not bia.

“Any request any political party or member made are all treated with understanding and that is what we are doing right now.

“I am aware of some of the petitions written to the command because I am in charge of criminal and investigation.”

He further explained that those that the command charged to court was treated and investigated with honesty and accountability.

He, however, urged the protesters to continue to conduct themselves peaceful saying the command will not hesitate to arrest and prosecute anyone who infretrate the peace of the public.
