The Osun State Independent Electoral Commission has said it will conduct the local government elections across Osun State on October 15, 2022.
The Chairman of the Commission, Otunba Olusegun Oladuntan disclosed this at a press conference in Osogbo, state capital on Monday.
He said the Commission is now operating on the newly passed and assented Osun State electoral act 2022 which was passed by the State Assembly.
He said the Commision has also held parley with the political parties to brief them on the process.
He added that the mode of the election will be presidential, with Chairmen and Councillors emerging differently.
