The Founder of Christ Apostolic Church (Mountain of Peace & Mercy Ministry), Prophet (Dr.) George Oluwoye, has urged Christians to remain steadfast in their faith and walk in the way of the Lord, emphasizing that true spiritual fulfillment comes from obedience and a life dedicated to God’s purpose.
Prophet Oluwoye noted that walking with the Lord requires consistency, trust, and a commitment to righteousness despite life’s challenges.
Speaking during the church’s 21st year anniversary and annual thanksgiving service in Osogbo on Sunday, Prophet Oluwoye encouraged believers, particularly the youth, to avoid worldly distractions and stay on the righteous path.
“We thank God that despite the battles, we are able to overcome. The deceit of the devil did not prevail against us. No matter the obstacles, we must continue walking in the way of the Lord,” he said.
The anniversary sermon, themed “Walking in the Way of the Lord” (1 Thessalonians 4:1), was delivered by Pastor Taiwo Ajao of CAC Land of Mercy who emphasized that walking with the Lord is not just about professing faith but demonstrating it through daily actions and obedience to God’s commandments.
“To walk with God is to live a life that reflects His teachings. It is not enough to say, ‘I believe in God’; your actions must show it. Can you confidently tell someone to walk the way you walk? If your footsteps do not lead to righteousness, then you are not truly walking in the way of the Lord,” Pastor Ajao stated.
Referencing Micah 6:8, he stressed the importance of humility, justice, and righteousness in a Christian’s journey.
“When you walk with the Lord, you walk in His truth. Micah 6:8 said, ‘and what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?’ This is what it means to truly walk with the Lord, you must be just, merciful, and humble,” he said.
He further explained that walking in the way of the Lord means avoiding sin and embracing divine wisdom.
“1 Thessalonians 4:1 emphasized the need to please God. we ask you and urge you in the Lord Jesus to do this more and more.’ This means our walk with God is continuous,it requires growth, learning, and faithfulness,” he added.
Pastor Ajao also urged believers to cultivate the fear of the Lord, describing it as the foundation of wisdom and the key to a fulfilling life.
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. When you walk in His fear, you will not stray. According to Proverbs 10:27. If you want to live a meaningful and fulfilling life, you must walk in reverence and obedience to God,” he admonished.
As part of the celebration, the church also unveiled and dedicated a newly acquired iron altar table for preaching, symbolizing a renewed commitment to the work of God. The table was formally launched and blessed during the service, adding to the significance of the occasion.
The event, held at the church’s headquarters in Osogbo, witnessed an atmosphere of gratitude as members gathered to celebrate God’s faithfulness over the years.
The service featured prayers, praise sessions, and testimonies of divine intervention.
The CAC Mountain of Peace & Mercy Ministry, founded over two decades ago, continues to emphasize the importance of spiritual growth, moral uprightness, and unwavering faith in God.
