Carlos Alcaraz seemingly appreciated very much Rafael Nadal’s congratulatory message on his Wimbledon win. On Sunday, 20-year-old Alcaraz beat Novak Djokovic to win his first Wimbledon title. Against seven-time Wimbledon champion Djokovic, Alcaraz delivered a fearless performance and it resulted in the best possible way for the 20-year-old Spaniard.

You have given us immense joy today and I am sure that our pioneer in Spanish tennis, Manolo Santana, has also been cheering wherever he is, such as Wimbledon whom you have joined today. A very strong hug and enjoy the moment, Champion!!!” Nadal tweeted after Alcaraz’s Wimbledon win.

At the French Open, Djokovic won his 23rd Grand Slam title and surpassed Nadal on the all-time Grand Slam record list.
On Sunday, Djokovic was aiming to win his 24th Grand Slam title and further extend his Grand Slam lead over Nadal. But Alcaraz beat Djokovic and just one Grand Slam title remains a difference between the Serb and Nadal. After beating Djokovic, Alcaraz admitted it was just amazing to beat Djokovic in a Wimbledon final.”Well, I did it for myself, not for tennis generation, honestly.
It was great. Beating Novak at his best, in this stage, making history, being the guy to beat him after 10 years unbeaten on that court, is amazing for me. It’s something that I will never forget, that’s for sure. As I said, it’s great for the new generation, as well, I think to see me beating him and making them think that they are capable to do it, as well.
