The founding National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Bisi Akande has mourned the death of a renown politician and worthy son of Osogbo, Senator Bayo Salami.
Chief Akande described the death of Senator Salami as unfortunate, shocking and painful.
The former Governor of Osun state said Senator Salami was a worthy politician and faithful follower, noting that he was true to the essence of progressive politics and good governance till he breathed his last.
According to him, Salami was a grassroots politician who contributed to the development of Osogbo, his hometown as the capital of Osun state and Nigeria in general as a Senator.
Chief Akande regretted Salami’s death at a time which he noted, he has matured enough to contribute more in wisdom to the socio-economic and political development of the state of Osun and Nigeria in general.
The APC leader consoled the Ataoja and the people of Osogbo, his immediate and extended family on the big loss and pray that God will grant them the fortitude to bear the loss.
Chief Akande prayed that Senator Salami’s soul will find repose with Allah whom he said should forgive his sins and grant him Aljanat fridaous.
