The Rector Osun State Polytechnic Iree, Comrade Kehinde Adeyemi Alabi has felicitated Christians, especially members of the Polytechnic community, charging them to emulate Christ in their daily acts.

Mr Alabi in a statement he personally signed noted that Christmas is a celebration of love, peace and unity, which according to him heralds the birth of Jesus Christ.

“The circumstances that sorrounded the birth of Christ the King of the Universe indicates, peace, love, endurance and hope. These are features the Christians celebrate in the festival of Christmas. I therefore urge my Christian friends , especially the staffers of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree to imbibe these spirits in their day-to-day activities.

“As we gather with family and friends during this festive period, I urge everyone to pause and reflect on the profound lessons associated with the birth of Christ. Let us strive to emulate His virtues by spreading kindness, fostering unity, and showing love to one another, irrespective of differences in religion, ethnicity, or social status.

“Love yourself, be hopeful and focussed. Let peace, love and unity be your watchwords.

“I pray that the Lord in His infinite mercy continues to shield us and grant us the inherent joy of Christmas in our daily lives”, the Rector said.

Mr.Alabi also urged the Christians to use this period to pray for the continued peace and progress in the Governor Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke’s government in Osun State, saying the state has witnessed unprecedented achievements in the last two years.

“It is pertinent that we use this spiritual season to pray for Governor Adeleke’s led-government in Osun State in his bid to paddle the canoe of the state to a safe harbour. We have witnessed uncommon transformation in the state since he came on board”, Alabi noted.
