The Chairman of Ejigbo Local Government Area, Osun State, Honorable Ogunmola Tesleem on Friday fumigated the Centre Mosque of the ancient town as part of ongoing efforts to make religious centres saver against COVID-19 pandemic.
It would be recalled that Governor Gboyega Oyetola on Wednesday lifted ban on religious activities with guidelines expected by all worshipping centres to be observed.
The Source gathered that the Ejigbo Central Mosque has been on locked for more than two months before the outbreak of coronavirus in Osun.
In a statement signed by his Publicity Secretary Obilade Ismail, said “With the easing of the lock down measure on mosques and churches by the state government, Hon. Ogunmola Tesleem , Chairman Ejigbo Central L.G, in his usual proactive manner, has deemed it fit to fumigate the Central Mosque, Ejigbo, to keep it safe from any eventualities.
“The fumigation was done this morning, Friday 05, with the aid of some youths in the community.
“With this proactive move, Hon Tesleem has once again demonstrated his willingness to always be at the disposition of his people when needed. God bless him more to be able to do more.”he said
