Multiple award-winning singer Davido has been overwhelmed by his array of ‘genuine’ friends.
On Wednesday, the afro-pop singer had introduced a test to determine his true friends as he indulged them to send the N1m each to an account that was opened solely for that purpose.
With his birthday in a few days, the singer desiring to put smiles on the faces of many like he has always done especially those in his DM mentioned via his Insta story, opted to engage his real friends in actualising that.
The “Jowo” singer urged persons who have enjoyed his song(s) at any point to join the movement, adding all and sundry should feel privileged to send him money.
He said: “If u know I’ve given you a hit song .. send me money …. una know una selves oo.
“Think am o! it’s not a bad thing o! na privileged o! you go use am as privileged say, “I dash that small boy, Davido money. Na privileged. You understand?!”
As at the time of this report, Davido via his insta story revealed over N100 million has been raised.
Some of the celebrities, who obliged his request include Femi Otedola, Oba Elegushi, Obi Cubana, Hon. Akin Alabi, Tiwa Savage, E Money, Mr Eazi, Peruzzi, Ikorodu Bois and countless others.
