The Employers Association for Private Employment Agencies of Nigeria has felicitated with Nigerians on the celebration of the 25th unbroken democratic governance in the country.

The felicitation message was contained in a statement released in Lagos on Wednesday, June 12, and signed by the Executive Secretary of the Association, Mr. Jide Afolabi on behalf of the President, Dr. Olufemi Ogunlowo.

Ogunlowo noted that June 12 is a reminder of the strength, resilience, and determination of the Nigerian people in their quest for democratic governance and progress.

The statement reads:
“The Employers Association for Private Employment Agencies of Nigeria (EAPEAN) would like to extend its warmest congratulations to all Nigerians as they celebrate Democracy Day today. This significant occasion serves as a reminder of the strength, resilience, and determination of the Nigerian people in their quest for democratic governance and progress.

“As the leading association representing private employment agencies in Nigeria, EAPEAN acknowledges the importance of this day and its significance in our nation’s history. It serves as a reminder of our collective efforts toward achieving a stable and prosperous society.

“Democracy Day serves as a reminder of the importance of democratic principles and values in our society. It emphasizes the importance of equal rights, freedom of speech, and active participation in decision-making processes. By embracing democracy, we empower our citizens and enable them to shape their future.

“Private employment agencies play a vital role in fostering economic growth and development, particularly during times of change and uncertainty. EAPEAN members adhere to strict ethical standards and regulations, ensuring that both job seekers and employers have access to reliable and transparent recruitment processes.

“On this auspicious occasion, EAPEAN joins millions of Nigerians in celebrating Democracy Day. It is a time to reflect on the progress we have made as a nation and to recommit ourselves to the task of building a stronger and more equitable society.

“On behalf of EAPEAN and its members, we would like to express our heartfelt congratulations to all Nigerians on the occasion of Democracy Day. May this occasion inspire a renewal of our collective commitment to democracy, peace, and unity.”

Employers Association for Private Employment Agencies of Nigeria (EAPEAN) formerly known as Human Capital Providers Association of Nigeria (HuCaPAN) is the umbrella organization of licenced Private Employment Agencies (PEAs) also known as recruiters in Nigeria.

EAPEAN provides a platform for Private Employment Agencies to interact with the regulatory body (government), labour communities, and other relevant institutions within and outside Nigeria to develop and promote International Labour Organisation (ILO) standards and ethical practices in the recruitment, deployment, and management of outsourced personnel in Nigeria.
