As part of the activities of the Osun Digital Media Week 2024, the Osun Online Publishers Association (OOPA) has announced the commencement of online voting for the Osun Digital Media Award.

In a release signed by the Planning Committee Chairman, Adesoji Omosebi on Friday in Osogbo, he explained the Award as a way to celebrate the association and worthy individuals in Osun.

The association had earlier revealed the activities of the week-long event which aims to fostering growth and innovation within the digital media space.

It will also feature a crucial public lecture with the theme: “The Impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on Digital Media in the 21st Century,”* to provide valuable insights into how AI is transforming the digital media landscape, equipping members with knowledge and tools to navigate these changes effectively.

In addition to the award presentation and public lectures, Osun Digital Media Week will encompass a variety of activities aimed at promoting community engagement and social responsibility.

The release reads: “Part of the program to celebrate this year’s edition is presentation of awards of excellence to worthy individuals and Corporate brands for their outstanding contributions to the development of our dear state.

“These awards, we believe, will encourage them to do more for the progress of Osun State, and winners shall emerge from a transparent voting process that will be done by the general public.

“Nominees for each category have been carefully selected through a thorough analyses of their track records in their respective endeavors and they have been listed for an online voting between November 9th and 20th 2024 where the persons/corporate brands with highest votes will emerge winners.

“We want to urge the general public to see this as an opportunity to support individuals and brands that have been outstanding in their fields.

“Special awards of recognition shall also be given to individuals who have one way or the other contributed to the development of the State and its people.

“Winners will be presented their awards at Ben-Ber Hall beside Reginal Suite, Ring Road, Osogbo, on Thursday, December 5th, 2024.”
