It was a gathering of who is who in the society at the weekend at Ifetedo, headquarters of Ife South Local Government Area of Osun State, when Dr Adedire Adejare of Department of Surgery, Osun State University buried his late mother, Madam Falilatu Oladoja Adedire of Jaye-Oriee House, Awona Street, Ifetedo in grand style.
While delivering a sermon at the special funeral service held at the Ifetedo Civic Center, Isale Ife, Ifetedo, Bishop Sola Olubadejo of the Holy Ghost Power Assembly Worldwide, who spoke on the topic, ”Remembrance of righteous” described death as inevitable”.
Bishop Olubadejo, who was speaking from the, Bible verses, Number 43.10,Job14.14 and Nehemiah 2.5-6, assured that anybody who die in Christ will rest in heaven as he charged the congregation to make heaven their goal saying everybody will die one after the other, while he asked rhetorically, “what will be said of you
after your demise?”
Bishop Olubadejo, who said the deceased, Madam Falilatu Oladoja Adedire lived a fulfilled life worthy of emulation from all the testimonies by all that had contact with her including men of God, charged Christians to be conscious of where they are going not where they are coming from.
In his tribute, Dr Adedire Adejare described his late mother as a first class humble mother who always in search of welfare and betterment of her children while she taught him and other siblings the way of God.
Dr Adejare said the vacuum created by her death would be difficult to fill by anyone else but that he was happy that he came to this world through her.
To the best of my knowledge, you never fought nor quarreled with anyone. Your counselling and encouragement kept me going “You taught me to always rely solely on God in all that I do.
This is the most important legacy you bequeathed me and my other siblings, Dr Adejare added.
In his message of appreciation, Dr Adejare used the medium to appreciate the people that have come from far and near to witness the final funeral ceremony of his late mother, among whom are, Dr Adedapo Adetoye (Osun State NMA Chairman), Dr. Femi Ala (MDCAN Chairman, UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital), Prof (Mrs) Akinwusi of the College of Health Sciences, Osun State University, Bishop and Rev (Mrs) Sola Olubadejo, Pastors, Evangelists, Elders, Deacons and members of the Holy Ghost Power Assembly Worldwide, Colleagues and associates among others, I say, “Omo rere maa gbe yin gbogbo wa o nigba ti a ba dagba ti a ba di arugbo” Aamin loruko Jesu.
Late Madam Falilatu Oladoja Adedire who died on November 12th, 2021 at the age of 88 and buried according to Muslim rite is survived by six (6) children with many grand children and great grand children.
