The Rector, Osun State Polytechnic Iree, Dr. Tajudeen Adewale Odetayo has congratulated the christian community in the Institution, charging them to emulate the inherent values in the passion of Christ.
Dr. Odetayo in a release he personally signed described Easter as a celebration of repentance, reconciliation, forgiveness and a period for fervent prayers.
The Rector enthused that “the suffering, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is to save the world and strengthen us to emulate the virtues of Christ in our daily lives. It is therefore important for us to rebirth ourselves and put on new characters and new attitude to life.
“We must change for good, we must improve in our righteousness, assist one another and make prayers the pillar of our activities in life.”
Dr Odetayo, charged the people of God to use the period to pray for the Osun State Government, especially the State Governor, Senator Ademola Jackson Nuruden Adeleke, in his bid to transform the socio-economic and educational status of the state.
He noted that Governor Adeleke is a God sent angel to bring succour to the people of the state, just as Christ has come to redeem the world.
