The Mass Communication Alumni of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, MAOS, has greeted Muslim Ummah around the world on the celebration of this year’s Eid-Al-Adhar urging them to promote religious tolerance and unity.
The Association said that Eid-Al-Adhar has given Nigerians the opportunity to celebrate even amidst the pandemic COVID-19.
In a statement issued and signed by the group’s President, Comrade Jide Afolabi, he stated that the 2020 celebration is unique given the period that the world found itself.
“We greets Muslim Ummah around the world especially, great MAOSITES who are celebrating the Eid-Al-Adhar.
“We urge everyone to observe the COVID-19 safety protocols. We have many years to celebrate ahead of us so, we should not breach the protocols because of this celebration. Our safety and that of our family members and indeed Nigerians, should be paramount to us.
“This is a celebration of uncommon sacrifice. We, therefore, urge all members to make uncommon sacrifice for the growth of MAOS”
Afolabi noted that MAOS is a family Association and such great love among member’s must continue to achieve the objectives of the founding father’s of MAOS.
“MAOS is a family and we call on other alumni of the Mass Communication department of Osun State Polytechnic Iree to join us in our efforts to achieve the aims, objectives and goals of the Association”.
