As Muslims throughout the world celebrate the Eid Fitr today, the Rector, Osun State Polytechnic Iree, Dr Tajudeen Adewale Odetayo, has charged members of the Muslim community in the Institution not to relent in their fervent devotions and abstinence from sins.
Dr. Odetayo, in a release he personally signed, said “the 30 days of fasting and prayers were used for fervent devotions and service to God and humanity, when the Islamic devotees rendered their supplications to Allah for a renewed life and better living.”
Dr. Odetayo noted that “it was a period when the people of God moved away from all forms of iniquities and immoralities in order to adequately devote their lives to Allah for prayers for Osun State, Nigeria and their individual intentions.”
The Rector enjoined the Islamic faithfuls not to relent in their good deeds and prayers for the polytechnic community and especially the State Governor, Senator Ademola Jackson Nuruden Adeleke whom he said had improved the socio-economic and educational standard of the state within his short period of administration.
The Rector also promised to continue his spirit-filled governance in the polytechnic without any bias for religion or any form of nepotic considerations.
He prayed for peace in the Institution as he craved for excellence in character and learning .
