The traditional Kingmakers in Eko-Ende, Ifelodun Local Government Area of Osun State at the weekend declared Alhaji Adekunle AbdulWaheed Babatunde, FCA, as the Oba Elect of Elende.
This was contained in a statement signed by AbdulAfeez Afolabi for the media office of Oba Ekoende Elect, said the emergency of the Chartered Accountants was unanimous
decision of kingmakers after a rigorous and comprehensive selection process.

He called on all residents, organizations, and government agencies to rally behind and support the Oba elect of Ekoende for the development of the town.
According to the statement, “It is with great pleasure and pride that we announce the selection of Alhaji Adekunle AbdulWaheed Babatunde, FCA, as the Oba Elect of Ekoende in Ifelodun Local Government Area, Osun State.
“The decision to select Alhaji Adekunle Abdulwaheed was made after a rigorous and comprehensive selection process, which involved careful evaluation of his qualifications, experience, and commitment to the betterment of Ekoende.
“The Oba elect, a distinguished and highly respected individual, brings to the role a remarkable level of expertise and integrity. As a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (FCA), he has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and a deep understanding of financial matters. With his exceptional track record in both professional and community service, we firmly believe that his leadership will usher in a new era of progress and growth for Ekoende.
“The selection process was conducted following our long-standing customs and traditions. all 5 Afobajes led by High Chief Isac Kolawole Ogunkeye
considered Alhaji Adekunle’s qualifications, character, and dedication to community development. His commitment to preserving our cultural heritage, coupled with his vision for a prosperous Ekoende, made him the unanimous choice for the position of Oba of Ekoende.
“As the Oba Elect of Ekoende, Alhaji Adekunle Abduwaheed Bamidele will assume his role as the custodian of our community’s cultural heritage, a unifying figure among our people, and a liaison between the community and the government. We are confident that his wisdom, fairness, and judiciousness will guide us toward sustainable development and the overall welfare of our beloved community.
