West Ham United manager, David Moyes has urged Manchester United to be patient with their head coach, Erik ten Hag and give him more time at the club amid the Red Devils’ poor form this season.
Moyes, a former Man United manager, experienced the pressure that comes with taking up the helm at Old Trafford.
The 60-year-old was appointed as Sir Alex Ferguson’s replacement in the summer of 2013 but was sacked in April 2014 after just 51 games into his tenure at Man United.
Ten Hag, meanwhile, was appointed before the start of the 2022-2023 season and the Premier League giant saw an upturn in form in his debut campaign as they finished third in the Premier League to return to the UEFA Champions League and won the Carabao Cup in February.
However, it has been a step backward for Man United this season as they crashed out of UEFA Champions League and currently sit in the 7th position on the Premier League table.
Speaking ahead of West Ham’s Premier League clash with Man United on Saturday at the London Stadium, Moyes said at his pre-match press conference: “I don’t want to make too many comments about [Manchester United], but I hope they give the manager time to get everything in place that he wants to do, and give him every opportunity to be successful.”
