Manchester United’s dressing room is split over the potential appointment of Erik ten Hag as the Red Devils’ next permanent manager.
Ten Hag, who is currently the coach of Ajax, is the favourite to become Man United’s next manager ahead of other candidates, including Paris-Saint Germain’s Mauricio Pochettino.
According to Manchester Evening News, some Man United players are excited about the possibility of being coached by Ten Hag, while others in the dressing room view the Dutchman as an ‘underwhelming’ replacement to interim manager Ralf Rangnick.
The report added that a number of Man United players would like to see Pochettino get the role ahead of Ten Hag.
Man United are currently in the process of looking for a world-class manager that will replace Rangnick in the summer.
Rangnick was appointed to temporarily take charge of Man United until the end of the season following the sacking of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer last November.
