Erin-Osun Town Hall reach 95 percent completion – EPU Ex-President,  Hassan Alao

The immediate past president of the Erin-Osun Progressives Union , EPU, and Asiwaju of Erin-Osun land, Engineer Hassan Alao has said his administration has built Multi-Million Naira befitting town hall for the usefulness of the residents of the community.

Engineer Alao stated that under his leadership he left a town hall at 90 percent completion.

Asiwaju of Erin-Osun land expressed his delight and appreciation to sons and daughters who trusted his leadership and supported him through out his eight years in office.

Alao disclosed this on Monday during the 2021 Annual General Meeting held at the community town hall noted that the collective support of all indigenes of the Erin-Osun at home and diaspora made his leadership to achieved what many regarded as success.

The elated ex-EPU president who could not hide his joy with the turnout of sons and daughters of Erin-Osun for the 2021 Annual General Meeting, charged them to continue to support their community faithfully and unconditionally.

Speaking on his achievements, the former EPU president said when he assumed office alongside his executives they started with six point agenda which he maintained were all achieved.

Engineer Alao said EPU paid NECO and JAMB fees for indigent student of the town including giving out scholarship to qualified students.

He also said that Erin-Osun now have a website where activities and information about the community can be accessed by all across the world at ease.

“Harmonious relationship with different unions including residents of Erin-Osun was strengthened through regular meetings.

“We also ensured that EPU sustained a cordial and working relationship with neighboring communities, Ilobu and others ” he added.

Also, as part of his leadership efforts to make EPU a recognized organization by Nigerian law, the union was registered with Corporate Affairs Commission, CAC, while board of trustees was put in place.

He further explained that his leadership setup new guidelines for all branches of EPU and visited them as at when due, settled all forms of disputes among their members.

However, the outgoing executives handed over to the Board Of Trustees (BOT) saddled them with the affairs of the Union for the next couple of months before an election to produce new set of executives is done.

The BoT is expected to conduct new election around April 2022.

Alhaja Janet Aremu member.
