Member, House of Representatives of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, representing Ijesa South Federal Constituency, Hon Sanya Omirin, has rejoiced with all the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP newly elected local government Chairmen and Councillors on their victory.

Local government poll held across the state on Saturday, which Hon Omirin described as a huge success.

A congratulatory message issued and made available to newsmen by Hon Omirin rejoiced with the new Chairmen and Councillors of the local government areas of the state wishing them successful tenure.

Hon Omirin who attributed the Saturday’s victory to the impressive development projects executed by the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke in the state and his commitment to sustaining development across the state, lauded the government for giving the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission, OSSIEC, all it needed to conduct free, fair and credible election in the state on Saturday.

The Ijesa born politician encouraged the newly elected Chairmen and Councillors to ensure development across all communities under them, stating the importance of fulfilling their campaign promises to maintain the support of the people.

“I also want to implore you to carry out your duties with dignity and sense of honour. You should reciprocate the electorate’s good gesture in electing you by providing them with the dividends of democracy” he said.

Hon Omirin in the congratulatory message, applauded the State Chairman of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, Hon Sunday Bisi, for the political sagacity deployed in ensuring landslide victory for the party at the poll on Saturday.

Member of the House of Representatives, appreciated the electorates for trooping out enmas and demonstrated their unalloyed support to the PDP as well as all the political parties that participated in the Saturday’s council election in the state.

Hon Omirin however commended the OSSIEC for the peaceful and hugely successful exercise.
