No fewer than four persons were on Monday abducted on Ayetoro Ekiti-Otun Ekiti Road in Ekiti State.
The assailants waylaid the travellers and took four into the bush, it was learnt.
Two buses were attacked but the gunmen abducted four passengers, while others fled to safety.
It was gathered that local hunters arrived at the scene after the assailants had left.
Police spokesman Sunday Abutu confirmed the incident, saying the attack started on Sunday evening and continued yesterday. He said policemen were on the trail of the attackers.
