Global Transactions Nigeria Limited, the consultants to the Osun State Government on telecommunications infrastructure, is urging all companies operating within Osun State to ensure they possess valid state approvals for their telecommunications infrastructure. The Chairman of Global Transactions Nigeria Limited, Rotimi George-Taylor, has emphasized the importance of compliance and has set a deadline of the end of February 2024 for companies to regularize their operations.

During a comprehensive assessment conducted by Global Transactions Nigeria Limited, a number of masts and cables were discovered that had been installed without proper approval or payment to the Osun State Government. It is imperative for all companies operating within the state to adhere to the established regulations and fulfill their financial obligations.

Rotimi George-Taylor expressed concern over the unauthorized installations and emphasized the need for adherence to the regulatory framework. He stated, “We have identified several instances where companies have installed telecommunications infrastructure without obtaining the necessary approvals or making the required payments to the Osun State Government. This not only violates the established regulations but also deprives the state of much-needed revenue.”

Global Transactions Nigeria Limited, in its role as the sole consultants to the Osun State Government, is committed to ensuring a fair and transparent telecommunications industry within the state. By enforcing the proper procedures, the company aims to create an environment that fosters healthy competition while safeguarding the interests of both the state and telecommunications service providers.

All companies operating within Osun State that have not obtained valid state approvals for their telecommunications infrastructure are urged to take immediate action and regularize their operations before the deadline of the end of February 2024. Failure to comply would result in legal consequences and necessary action would be taken by the State Government.

Global Transactions Nigeria Limited is ready to provide guidance and support to companies seeking assistance in obtaining the necessary approvals. The company’s experienced team will work closely with affected businesses to streamline the regularization process and ensure a smooth transition towards compliance.
