Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke has vowed to ensure that his administration deliver the dividend of democracy irrespective of political differences.

Adeleke hinted that many roads project are ongoing, schools building across various local council areas are wearing new look.

Adeleke disclosed this on Thursday, while hosting the Olunisa in Council led by Olusa of Inisa, Oba Joseph Oyedele Fasikun, who came to declared their support for his administration and endorsed him for second term.

He explained that as part of the efforts to maintain the already available infrastructures, he has embarked on the renovation of many decayed infrastructures just as he has continued to complete all the abandoned projects of his predecessors since government is continual.

Adeleke who bemoaned the attitude of some public officer holders for neglecting public infrastructures said many Infrastructural amenities in Nigeria such as schools, hospitals, government offices and monuments, are in bad shape due to negligence.

Adeleke said one of the problems being faced by Nigerian people is lack of maintenance of infrastructures which according to him was bane of development.

According to the Governor, “if Nigeria does not have maintainance culture, it must start from Osun State”, adding that it is sensible to always avoid eventual capital costs by paying regular attention to an existing asset.

“I have completed many abandoned projects, repair damaged school buildings, building new ones .My administration has paid half salaries ,pensioners owed by my predecessors.

” We have consolidated in construing new road across the states and before my administration gets to two years in the office many ongoing projects would have been completed .”

Olunisa, who led traditional chiefs and some Indigenes of the Inisa said the whole community are with Adeleke, with a promise to work for him to rule the state beyond 2026.

The monarch, however declared that , they were not in support of the decision of the former member BoT of the People’s Democratic party (PDP), Alhaji Shuaib Oyedokun, who recently defected to opposition All Progressives Congress.
