HazanaCity, one of the developing estates in Oranmiyan New Town of Ede North Local Government Area of Osun state, is adamant to close road linking several communities.

The communities affected are; Atapa, Oke Ayo , Alafia Tayo, Ologun, Elere, Alaro and Orisunbare Blaze Newz gathered.

It would be recalled that after several letters written to authorities in the year 2024 to caution HazanaCity Estate from closing the access road which links to Abere , Majority Leader of the Osun State House of Assembly, Honorable Adewumi Babajide kofoworola, visited the road, warned the estate developer against closing the road.

The lawmaker, who is representing Ede North State Constituency at the state assembly also spoke to residents of the affected communities to remain calm, assured them that the road will not be closed without providing for them an alternative road.

But on Saturday when Blaze Newz visited the road , our correspondent discovered form work already layed on the access road by HazanaCity developer to beginning fencing while signpost with names of the affected communities erected at the same spot.

Speaking, one of the residents of the affected communities, Mr Ibukun Issa, told our reporter that it came to their surprise that HazanaCity could ignore Osun State House of Assembly Intervention.

He acknowledged efforts of the Director of the Ministry of Land, just as he appealed that HazanaCity developer needs to be cautioned against provocating the affected communities.

“We have been going peaceful on this issue in order to arrive at amicable solution for this road, Ministry of Land needs to do more, and caution HazanaCity against provocating the affected communities” Mr Isaac said.

Another resident, Mrs Kabiru Aminu, said its looks obvious that HazanaCity is adamant to close the road despite several interventions, including from the Osun State House of Assembly.

She, however, called on Governor Ademola Adeleke to come to their rescue over the affected road HazanaCity is planning to close.

“I want to use this opportunity to appeal to our Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke to wade into this issue for everlasting solution” Mrs Aminu said.
