The Rector, Osun State Polytechnic Iree, Mr Kehinde Adeyemi Alabi, has described the Chairman of the Institution’s Governing Council, Hon. Diran Ayanbeku, as a divine blessing ordained by God to make meaningful contributions to the development of the Institution.
This is contained in a Statement signed on behalf of the Management by the Registrar of the Institution, Prince Abiodun Oyedele Oloyede on behalf of the Governing Council, Rector, Management, Staff and Students of the Institution.
The statement noted that Hon Ayanbeku’s wealth of experience in administration, financial management and social interaction has been an instrument of advancement within a short period of his coming on board in the Institution.
The release stated that ” Hon Ayanbeku, an astute administrator and manager of human resources has deployed his resourcefulness in governance and public service to the school.
“The Chairman is a man of vision, brilliant and highly intelligent . He is humility personified. As a man of honour, together with other Council Members, he has been able to join hands with the Management of the Institution to improve the standard of the Polytechnic. His love for vocational and technical education has assisted the management to record unprecedented achievements in the polytechnic since he came on board as Chairman of the Institution’s Council”
It would be recalled that Honourable Diran Ayanbeku, a renowned political icon in Osun East Senatorial District was a Chairman of Ife South Local Government and he was also a member of the State House of Assembly before he was appointed as Chairman of the Council. During his tenure as the Council Chairman, he made indelible landmark in development of the council, especially in Agriculture, Health, Road Construction and human development; while he also made useful contributions to parliamentary proceedings in the State House of Assembly as a Lawmaker .
The Statement declared that “the Rector on behalf of the Governing Council Members, Management, Staff and Students of the Institution pray that as the Chairman marks his birth anniversary today, the Lord will continue to strengthen him and grant him good health as he continues to live a good life for the service of God and humanity.”
