Osun State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Prince Adebayo Adeleke has congratulated Muslims on the celebration of Eid-il-Adha festival.
In his congratulatory message, Adeleke said the period of the festival has provided another opportunity for the people of the state to still be able to celebrate even amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to him, Osun is a state where the administration of Governor Gboyega Oyetola has put in frantic effort to take care of the people’s welfare, even with the pandemic, coupled with limited resources.
Prince Adeleke noted that in line with the teaching of the celebration, Governor Oyetola and members of his team have been making sacrifice to ensure that the people enjoy ambience of good governance in the state.
“The developmental stride of Governor Oyetola’s administration is an indication of hope rekindled, which is the symbol of the Eid-il-Adha celebration.
“Allah brought hope to Prophet Ibrahim when he was to sacrifice his son as a promise to his creator. This is the hope that the effort of Governor Oyetola has replicated in Osun.
“Therefore, this is the time we expect the people of the state to also be willing to make sacrifice and support Governmnent towards the development of the state and the healthy living of the entire populace.
“One of the ways to go is to comply with all the Protocols reeled out by the NCDC and the Government to prevent the spread of Covid-19 among others.
“I therefore on behalf of myself and family congratulate Governor Gboyega Oyetola, his wife Alhaja Kafayat and the entire people of Osun, for the celebration”, Adeleke stressed.
