The Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Osun State Governor on Inter-governmental Affairs, Hon. Mustapha Adisa Akintegbe has said the Indigenous Co-existence is beyond mere tolerance, saying it embodies the celebration of diversity and recognition.
Akintegbe also said that the significance of indigenous coexistence in promoting cultural heritage not be over emphasize.
He stated this while addressing students as Guest Speaker at the IMOLE WEEK of National Association of Osun State Students (NAOSS) chapter of Adeyemi Federal University of Education Ondo State.
He harped on the pivotal role of Indigenous Coexistence in preservation and promotion of Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage.
Recognizing the diverse tapestry of traditions woven into the fabric of our society, the aide underscored the importance of fostering understanding and harmony among different indigenous communities.
Hon. Akintegbe further noted that Indigenous Co-existence goes beyond mere tolerance saying it embodies the celebration of diversity and recognition of the unique contributions each culture brings to the collective identity of the region.
According to him, by embracing this approach, the local government aims to create an inclusive environment that honors the customs, languages, and practices of various indigenous groups.
He concluded after an extensive talk on the given topic by urging Osun state youths to tap into the vision of Governor Ademola Adeleke on youth leadership development which his administration has demonstrated since its Inception.
