The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released the official timetable for off-cycle governorship elections in Ekiti and Osun states.

Ekiti State gubernatorial election will hold on Saturday, June 20, 2026, while the Osun State governorship election has been scheduled for Saturday, August 8, 2026.

These off-cycle elections follow the electoral calendar adjustments due to previous legal rulings and political transitions that altered the regular four-year cycle.

INEC is expected to release further details in the coming weeks, including timelines for party primaries, campaign periods, and voter registration updates.
