The Ipetumodu Development Forum (IDF) has congratulated the Apetumodu of Ipetumodu in Ife North Local Government Area of Osun State, Oba (Prof) Joseph Olugbenga Oloyede, Latimogun I, on his elevation to the rank of Deputy Chairman, Osun State Traditional Council describing it as a good omen.

Oba Oloyede, was elevated on Friday by the Osun State government.

While congratulating the newly promoted traditional ruler, the IDF under the leadership of the Chairman, Elder Taiwo Oyetade, the Vice-Chairman, Barr Banji Akinloye and the General Secretary, Mr Kehinde Oyetunmbi in a congratulatory message issued and made available to journalists on Saturday described the development as a reward of dedication, humility, God fearing, generosity and vibrancy of the Apetumodu.

“Oba Oloyede, has not only used the stool to benefit the entire son and daughter of the ancient Ipetumodu home and abroad, he has also worked hard to bring rapid development to the state. His rapport with young and old persons has shown that he’s a monarch with a difference.

“Oba Oloyede, is using his international connection bringing unprecedented respect, class and exposure to the stool of Apetumodu and this elevation is an attestation to this. We have no doubt that he will do well in this new assignment as Deputy Chairman of the traditional council” the statement said.

The IDF however appreciated the state government for recognising the Apetumodu for the promotion with a pledge that Oba Oloyede will not let both Ipetumodu and entire state down and he will not relent in pursuing betterment and welfare of every humanity.

The Ipetumodu Development Forum, also used the medium to congratulate Oba Oloyede in advance on his forthcoming birthday ceremony.

The Forum who wish the Apetumodu long life and prosperity as he celebrates his birthday enjoined all indigenes of the town to continue to demonstrate their unalloyed support to the monarch.

“We wish the Apetumodu long life with good health on the throne to enjoy his new promotion” the statement concluded.
