The Personal Assistant to Nigeria’s Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Ishola Olateju has warned that the insecurity in Nigeria is a time bomb that must be fought with every might by the Nigerian Youths.
Olateju also restated that the Youths in the country have a great deal of influence and impact in determining the nation’s future, urging them not to allow it go bleak.
In his opening address at the 2nd edition of Ishola Olateju Round Table, organised by the Ishola Olateju foundation in collaboration with Kwara Youths in Politics held in ilorin on Saturday, the Minister’s aide said there is no way a future can be built in the present atmosphere of happenings in the the country.
He insisted that Nigeria is challenged in all facets of life, which has affected the country in its critical sectors of infrastructure, economy, health and social security.
Olateju challenged Nigerian Youths to stand up and do everything within their power to restore sanity to the country.
“The bulk of the work to get Nigeria work is on us and I challenge Nigeria youths to do everything within our power to find a lasting solution to it. We must engage, talk and counsel our fellow Youths on the danger ahead of us if we do not jointly fight insecurity in Nigeria.”
He used the opportunity to assure his supporters who are eager to know about his political move to look forward to a pronouncements soon, saying he is still consulting.
He also used the opportunity to appreciate his leader and mentor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola and his wife, saying they have contributed immensely to his life.
The Ishola Olateju Round Table Discussion is an annual event organised to celebrate Ishola Olateju’s birthday where issues bordering on Nigeria’s socio-economic cum political development with keen interest on the role of the Youth is discussed.
