Presidential Candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Engr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has dismissed reports, that he is in talks with the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar over any form of an alliance ahead of the February 25 presidential election.

He wondered what the discussion would centre about with the party he left a long time ago even as he emphasised that the has not physically seen the PDP presidential candidate until the Arise town hall meeting in Lagos.

He said, “From now to March we are not going to talk with anybody except after the February 25 election, if there is no clear winner.”

He counsels the purveyors of the report, to be honest, and align with integrity: “If you are talking to somebody, you say it. If you are not, say it, no matter the pressure” from other people the NNPP presidential candidate said.

Kwankwaso said the implication of their tale to their political fortune was costly, “What they are doing now is to anger the people.”

He said his discussion at the moment is with the people of Nigeria and voters in the election and nothing more.

He said “Now people have got an opportunity to go out there and contest the election. The NNPP has offer d that opportunity to many Nigerians

“Like we have good people now contesting in our party across the country and we are so happy. So the answer is simple.

“We are not going to go into discussion with anybody for now. No discussion with any party whatsoever.

“However, after the first election, if need be, of course, we discuss with people and that’s why we are being very careful not to tell lies about any person or people.

“Our campaign is an issue-based campaign that was why we were very angry with any party that is attacking our personality, our party because that will certainly affect our discussion with them negatively. If of course there was no clear winner on the 25 of February election.

“We have nothing to lose at the party now. I want Nigeria to take note of that, he said.”
