As Muslims across the world observe the holy month of Ramadan, Honourable Bukola Ojuade, on Sunday, called on Muslims Ummah and all Nigerians to use the occasion to pray more for a peaceful, united and prosperous Nigeria.
Ojuade, in a Ramadan message personally signed, urged Muslims in the state and Nigeria to imbibe the culture of prayer, unity, and love among one another.
He equally beseeched Muslims to adhere strictly to the teachings of the great Prophet of Islam, Mohammad, and to sustain the ideals of the month of Ramadan beyond the period.
While emphasizing that Islam is a religion of peace, he noted that Muslims must consciously work towards practicalizing the true essence of the religion, which is to unite the entire mankind in love and harmony.
“It is a great privilege for Muslim Ummah to witness another holy month, which provides us with the opportunity to communicate directly with our creator.
“I Would like to admonish us to, therefore, use these sacred moments to pray more for the progress of our nation as a whole. We must pray for stability and peace so that prosperity will spread across every nook and cranny.
“Please do not, in your prayers, also forget our leaders in the country to divinely be guided in their programs, projects, and policies that will make our country stronger, peaceful, developed and prosperous.
