….to handover toilet build to state govt

As the World continuines to struggle with COVID19, Osogbo Metropolitan Lions Club under District 404b-2 Nigeria, on Thursday distributed face masks to residents of Osun State to curb the spread of the pandemic.
The distribution of face masks cut across maternity ward, family planning clinic and antenatal clinic in Asubiaro State Hospital, and Akindeko market, Osogbo, Osun State capital.
Speaking, the President of the club Solabomi Akinsola said the program was part of the monthly activities of the club in contributing to development of the society especially at the period the world is just recovering from global pandemic.
Akinsola stressed that they decided to organize the program to enable that the society is protect against the killer virus and extend humanitarian service to citizens without favoritism.
She implored the residents to follow the government’s directives and the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) by using face masks regularly to prevent themselves from the pandemic.
She commended Governor Gboyega Oyetola for his proactive measures which has limited the spread of COVID19 in the state
She however, said the club will handover the on going toilet project at Asubiaro State hospital to the state government which is to be used by patients.
According to her, “Lions Club is a humanitarian organization that cares for the people in the community. we use our substance to assist less privileged and needy in the society.
“We choose to distribute face masks in the hospital area and market place to mark last month of the Lions year of the 2019/2020 to touch lives of the people of Osun.
“There is on going toilet project in Asubiaro State Hospital built by Osogbo Metropolitan Lion Club in this 2019/2020 lions year. We find it necessary to contribute our own quota to compliment effort government in providing for people in society”. She added
