In a bid to clinch the post of International Director for a Nigerian candidate, Lions Club International in Nigeria(Multiple District 404) have endorsed the candidature of PCC Lion Princess Bridget Adetope Tychus ahead of the club’s International Convention coming up in Australia in June 2024.
The Clubs during its Multiple Districts (MD404) Extra-ordinary Delegate Meeting held in Lagos endorsed PCC Tychus as Sole Candidate for International Director for Constitutional Area 8.
At the well attended special delegates conference, PCC Tychus received the overwhelming YES votes of all the delegates with no single objecting vote. Reacting to the outcome of the delegates meeting, some Lion Leaders from the six districts under MD404 described PCC Tychus as the best for the position, saying she is a round peg in a round hole and has served the association in several leadership positions contributing her quota to the growth of the association.
Lion Oluomo Sunday Akere said the endorsement of the PCC Lion Princess Tychus is a step in the right direction ahead of the International Convention, saying with the type of support, she is going to become the first woman to attain such feat, not only in Nigeria but Africa as a whole.
“Her endorsement for the post of International Director, is a right step towards electing her as the first woman, not only in Nigeria but in Africa to attain such great feat and by the grace of God we shall get her elected come June during the International Convention in Melbourne, Australia” he said.
Also, Lion Temitope Orotunde said PCC Tychus is the right person to fill the position, adding that her person would not only add value to the association but also attract quality philanthropists to the group in Nigeria while rallying more support towards the attainment of the 1.5 Global goal.
