Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, on Friday inaugurated the governing councils for Abiola Ajimobi Technical University and Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH).
Makinde announced the development on his official social media handles on Friday, April 4, 2025.
The Abiola Ajimobi Technical University is chaired by Dr. Adesola Kazeem Adeduntan, while LAUTECH is led by Professor Ayodeji Oludare Omole, who serves as Pro-Chancellor and Chairman.

The governor, in his statement, reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to increasing subventions to state-owned universities to enable them to meet their obligations.
He also pledged to build primary healthcare centres and provide ambulances for the institutions.
“This afternoon, we inaugurated the Governing Councils for two of our three state-owned universities — the Abiola Ajimobi Technical University, led by Dr. Adesola Kazeem Adeduntan as Chairman, and the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), led by Professor Ayodeji Oludare Omole as the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman.
“In my remarks, I confirmed that our administration is working on increasing the subventions to our state-owned universities to enable them to meet their obligations. We are also going to build Category 3 primary healthcare centres and provide ambulances for them this year.
“I also congratulated the Chairmen and Governing Council members of both universities and wished them every success as they carry out their responsibilities diligently for the benefit of the universities and our dear state,” the statement added.
