Edinson Cavani wore the number last season after leaving the No7 shirt to Cristiano Ronaldo.
Antony is set to become the 10th Brazilian to wear the famous colours of United when they host Arsenal on Sunday.
The two Premier League heavyweights clash in a 4:30 pm kick-off at Old Trafford.
Both teams are on a rich run of form, with Mikel Arteta’s men currently top of the table, having won all five games played so far.
The Red Devils have won their last three games and sit in fifth place.
