May Day: Better welfare awaits Nigerian workers, Adeleke’s SA, Durojaye assures

The Special Adviser to the Osun Governor on Cooperatives and Empowerment, Hon. Durojaye Isaac, has assured Osun workers that the state government would work collaboratively with Labour Unions in the state for a better working conditions.

The Special Adviser gave the assurance in a statement he personally signed to congratulate the workers as they commemorate the 2024 May Day.

Durojaye extolled the sterling qualities that stood out the Osun workers, saying “An Osun worker is noted for his patriotism, hard work, resilience, and dedication to duty.

“I am happy to be associated with the Osun worker in the last more than 10 years and I can attest to the fact that everywhere you go, the Osun worker’s spirit resonates profoundly”.

Durojaye promised that the Governor Ademola Adeleke led administration was more than committed to ensuring the best working conditions for the Osun worker adding that, “No Osun worker will again be allowed to work under inhuman conditions. The government will do everything possible to give you the best because you deserve the best”

The Special Adviser reiterated that the theme for this year’s celebration was apt and in tune with the international best practices assuring that Osun will never be left behind.

According to him, Adeleke was fully committed to workers’ welfare and make policy aimed at protecting the interest of the workers, creating a befitting workplace environment and a pay that takes them home.

“On behalf of the government and indeed, my family, I wish to join the world in wishing the Osun worker a happy International Labour Day.

“We are celebrating patriotism, hard work, commitment and dedication. And I want to assure you that your sacrifices can never go in vain. The tough times will never last forever and in fact, they will soon be over,” he said.
