Michael B. Jordan, the star of Creed, may be gearing up to one day play a driver, now that Formula 1 is about to jump to the big screen.
Hamilton wants Jordan to be him
The Californian actor is one of the candidates that Lewis Hamilton wants to give life to the seven-time world champion in the film about Formula 1 that the Briton is producing, and where Brad Pitt is the protagonist (remember that some of the scenes were recently shot at the British Grand Prix of Formula 1, at Silverstone).
We don’t know if it was for that reason, or simply because of Jordan’s fondness for Italian sports cars, but the fact is that the star of films such as Fruitvale Station and Black Panther spent a day of driving and adrenaline at the wheel of a purebred Ferrari: the 296 GTB plug-in hybrid with, wait for it, 830 hp.
Jordan received one of the Ferrari Pilot courses that the Italian brand reserves only for its customers. The Hollywood star’s course took place at the spectacular private circuit of The Thermal Club, on the outskirts of Los Angeles. There, in a completely safe environment, the actor was able to hone his driving skills with a professional instructor from the brand.
I
Although he doesn’t particularly flaunt his cars on his social networks, Jordan is a speed enthusiast. As evidenced by one of his videos in which he can not resist the temptation to roll on a German highway without speed limit at ‘full speed’ one of his sports cars.
In this case it is another Italian two-seater, but from Ferrari’s rival brand. The Californian gets behind the wheel of a Lamborghini Huracan to make a trip that he could not make in many other places in the world.
“Anyone who knows me knows I love to drive – and we’re in Germany. That means ‘Autobahn’ and that means… there are no speed limits.”
Jordan had it clear from the first moment and did not miss the opportunity to squeeze without stress his machine and, incidentally, share the experience with his fans.
The Huracan EVO is one of the few cars known to be members of his garage. Others attributed to him are a Honda NSX, a Ferrari 812 Superfast and, of course, two luxury SUVs: the Lamborghini Urus and the Range Rover SV Autobiography.
