Actor and content creator Adebowale ‘Mr Macaroni’ Adedayo says he would be voting for the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, in the 2023 general election.

The announcement follows months of scepticism over the candidate the comedian and critic of the current Muhammadu Buhari-led regime would be rooting for at the upcoming poll.

Mr. Adedayo took to Twitter on Saturday to officially announce that he would be voting for the former governor of Anambra state in the race for Nigeria’s next president.

While making his stance known, the actor noted that he is never going to campaign for any politician nor beg or force one on Nigerians.

“I do not and will not campaign for politicians. I cannot force or beg any Nigerian to vote for a particular candidate but come 2023, the person that I will cast my vote for is Peter Obi!!

“And that is final on this matter!! Enough is Enough!!!,” he tweeted.

Eighteen candidates are competing in the race to replace Mr Buhari as the next president, in a highly publicised general election scheduled to hold on February 25, 2023.

Mr Obi contested as vice president to Atiku Abubakar under the Peoples Democratic Party during last general elections, in which Mr Buhari was re-elected.

However, he decamped to the Labour Party this year to emerge as a candidate in the next poll and has since walked his way up to become one of the leading contenders.
