MTN Reacts To Network Outage In Nigeria

Telecommunication giant, MTN Nigeria has reacted to the service outage experienced by some subscribers on Saturday afternoon.

DAILY POST reports that MTN subscribers in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja and some other parts of the country, at about 2:30pm experienced network outage as they could not connect to the network.

Some of the users who stormed the social media to lament the situation, said there was no notification prior to the outage.

Reacting, MTN which has over 77.35 million subscribers in the country, said it is working towards restoring normalcy in the affected areas.

In a post on its Facebook page, MTN apologized to customers experiencing the challenge, saying it was aware of the development.

The post reads, “Dear customers, we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused!

“Some of our customers are having difficulty in connecting to the network today. We are looking into this and are truly sorry for any inconvenience caused”.

DAILY POST reports that as at 5:30pm, some of the users in Abuja confirmed that the network has been restored.
