By Peter Obadan
I write to you again brethren, from the abundance of my heart. I desire that you are not led astray. So, I am persuaded with bowels of love, engulfed in the flame of the Holy Ghost, to write to all that nameth the name of Christ, and walk by faith and not by sight (2nd Corinthians 5:7). I trust that they will read this and meditate upon it, before casting their lots on the 25th of February, 2023.
I have followed the trend of discourse of some brethren and Church leaders in the print media. I am elated to note that we have woken from our political slumber. Praise God!
I have also reflected in retrospect on the political history of our country – a country with so much diversities in language, culture and tradition; ethnicity and religion. A great country we have indeed.
I have given deep thoughts to the opinions of our revered and respected religious leaders on the forth-coming elections. Some of them advocate for candidates from their mortal selfish perception without asking for the leading of the Holy Spirit. Some have also been carried away because of chauvinistic Kinsman syndrome. They use the name of God in vain, but I pray that the eyes of your understanding will be illuminated to know that which is the will of our Father. Allow God to lead you, guide you, and direct you.
Did the Lord God not create man in His own image? Can the Lord not achieve His purposes through any man, be that man a Jew or a Gentile, Greek or Hebrew, Christian or Muslim? Definitely, He can achieve His purpose using any instrument when we fail. If any Minister disagrees, let him speak. The raven and dove were used by Noah; the ass spoke to Balaam, and the fish compelled Jonah to obey God. The truism of this paradigm is Biblical, and upon this foundation, I present political issues rooted in truth knowing that only the truth can set us free.
My brethren, we have had Christians as Presidents and as Vice Presidents. I cannot establish the much value that they brought into the Christian faith. They were skeptical in identifying and associating freely and fully with us so as not to offend the Muslim population. They did more for the Muslims than for the Christians. Will you controvert this? Was a Christian not in office when the constitution was rewritten and had Christianity and the Church excluded or expunged? They kept mute. I was told in primary school that it’s always too late to cry when the head is off the body.
My Brethren, whose report will you actually believe? Is it the report of Ministers of God who see the Presidency as a source of making money, and whose belly is their God; and whose glory is in their shame, and who mind earthly things ( Phil 3: 19) or, the report of those who see the Presidency as the pivotal source for developing our nation?
During President Jonathan’s tenure, they laid their hands on gold; and rather than prove our faith, they allowed it slip through their fingers, as their fingers were on the rotten pie of money. The messages of Christianity and prosperity filled the air waves. They were more in Aso Rock than the politicians who voted for President Jonathan. Their definition of prosperity was capabilities for materialistic acquisition without consideration for the prosperity of the soul.
When the nation rose against President Jonathan, fake prophecies littered the media with these men assuring him of victory. Here we are again; our religious Merchants of Prophecies are demeaning the name of the Almighty God with fake prophecies. There were no prophecies to counsel or direct President Jonathan on his modus operandi which fell short of the glory of God. There was no rebuke because Aso Rock flowed with milk and honey. They would not chastise him because he would shut down the ATM.
These men prophesied, assuring President Jonathan of continuity even when the glory had departed. When God has not spoken, they excite the congregation with the words: thus says the Lord, God spoke to me, God woke me up, God took me to a mountain top to see what will befall Nigeria, and so much gibberish which they spew out in the name of God Almighty. They act as if our God only speak in days of politics. Christians in Ministries or Churches where Ministers have prophesied that a particular candidate should be voted for should vacate those churches when their prophecies fail. It means God has never spoken through them, and they have always spoken with lying lips. Elucidating the gospel because you have the gift of the gab does not connote Christianity. May God have mercy upon them. Amen.
The Muslims have not understood salvation, so they hold on to their own faith and acclaim it to be the rightful religion. If we be the salt of the earth and the light of the world, that which we do and that which we say, is what will win them to Christ. Can they not be saved? Let he who is on the Lord’s side answer this question. Can they not be saved? Why are we enjoined to pray for our enemies and those that despitefully use us? Why? We are hasty in referring to the nation of Turkey that it used to be 99% Christians without researching the cause. When men slept, the enemies sowed tares. When wisdom eludes the saints, calamities befall the land. When Christians fail to understand the political dynamics playing out and strategize, in times and seasons to appropriate the opportunity of chance, the people perish.
Now my Brethren, I have told you before and I will tell you again, who, the next president of this country will be by the grace of God; and rather for it to be altered, Heaven will intervene if it be of God. God’s ways are not man’s ways, and He moves in a mysterious way to perform His wonders.
God does not look at the outward appearance in deciding who to use in achieving His purpose else He would not have chosen David over Eliab, nor would God have chosen Moses over Aaron. Man looks at the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart. Come February 25, 2023, because of the plan of God for Nigeria to make it an exception of what many of us believe that the Muslim-Muslim ticket will lead to Islamisation in a country where the Saints ceaselessly cry unto Him, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, a Muslim, and Shettima, a Muslim, will, by the grace of God, be elected to carry out the will of God except they be not creatures of God that Christ died to save. In Nigeria, our God reigns Supreme. God examines the heart of man, and He said to these lying Priests: with their mouth, they call Me Lord God, but their heart is far from Me.
God has the whole world in His hands, including the fishes in the seas and the birds in the air. By the 25th of February, the false prophets would be separated from the true servants of God, and then they will begin a new song of how God woke them in the night to pass the mantle to Asiwaju Tinubu. The comfort of the country lies in Asiwaju Bola Tinubu becoming President. Think brethren. God does not use our past acts to determine our future. If God is to judge our past, our iniquities, who will stand? If you have never sinned, speak out. Satan thought that the crucifixion of Christ will pull down the kingdom of God, but it lacked the wisdom to understand that if Christ be lifted, He will draw humanity to Himself. The more they try in bringing Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to level zero, the more God makes him a hero.
I therefore write to you, my Brethren, not to waste your PVC by casting your votes for those who lost the war even before it began. Cast your votes for Ahmed Bola Tinubu for he is a vessel of honour, a battle axe for God to establish His purpose for Nigeria.
Asiwaju Tinubu fought for the institutionalisation of democracy, while others were ravaging and plundering the country, and some trading with China, Taiwan, exchanging our currency with fake products. Let democracy reign through a man who fought for it in honour of those who died in seeking it, and for the unborn who desire it as inheritance. Even with Tinubu’s human frailties, he has a heart that pants after God’s own heart. With him we stand on solid ground to achieve the desire of God for this nation; a government by the people and for the people.
Brethren, for the now, we have no substitute to Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Shettima because the mantle of leadership has been handed over to them. In the year Abacha died, God defined 2023 as the year of the Progressives. We have spent many years to get into the Promised Land. Many have been superficial and arrogant without pursuing the purpose-driven life (the substance.) We have been earthly-minded and prosperity-conscious, forgetting that heaven is our goal. Our leaders have eaten the sour grapes and have chosen to persuade, coerce , or spiritually persecute us to act their ways for their financial benefits. I therefore call on you to allow the will of God to be done. The will of God concerning us to avoid shame, embarrassment, reproach and ridicule in Christendom, is to be on the Lord’s side by voting Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
If the much talked about Buhari and the Organisation of Islamic Countries, OIC, could not Islamise the nation, can Tinubu Islamise Nigeria with an Esther in the House? There is an Esther in the house of Tinubu. If we be wise like the Jews, let us join her in fasting and praying for the realisation of God’s objective.
The Tinubu I know is not a sick or sickly man as many perceive. He has the stamina of a bull, the eyes of an Eagle, a strategic deep thinker like Solomon, the mental capacity of Abraham Lincoln, the courage of Samson, and the fearlessness of David.
Can you postulate that a man lacks mental capacity based upon his condition, age, behavior or appearance? So I weep for the likes of Dino Melaye, the PDP jester. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is stronger than many average Nigerians. I am 72 years, and I aver that Bola Tinubu is my junior in age having been playmates as young men over 30 years ago.
I am not a prophet, but a consistently consistent Teacher of the Word; and our God ministers to me from His Word. So, let me conclude by presenting to you why Atiku and Obi will not make the Presidency if our current modus Vivendi is sustained to avoid a disintegration of Nigeria.
For Atiku: God is not against Atiku , who never took part in the struggle for the democratisation of this country, or because his deeds, widely known and established in the chronicles of those in need of confession and restitution. But God is against him because of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, who betrayed his Southern brethren and destroyed trust when he agreed to a Northern candidacy because he had his eyes on Vice-Presidency. He let go the rotational principle and pierced the conscience of the South-South. He will not earn it. Gehazi cannot prosper through betrayal and mischief.
For Peter Obi: He is a forerunner for an Ibo Presidency after Asiwaju Tinubu. One of the current Governors is being prepared. Obi is laying a solid foundation for the entrance of this governor . Obi will not be President. A rolling stone gathers no moss. As Governor, were the Saints in his state free? Were they not persecuted? Obi was tested and he failed like the rich man of Luke 18. One thing thou lackest, Peter, is consideration for humanity but thou art full of thyself.
To Tinubu, congratulations! You have been weighed in the balance, and you have not been found wanting.
Hear me brethren, as I understand the Lord, act wisely, vote APC, vote Asiwaju Tinubu and be at peace. God’s Word will not return unto Him void without achieving the purpose for which it was sent. Nigeria will be great again. Asiwaju Tinubu has the answer.
