The Naira depreciated against the dollar at the black market and gained slightly at the official market to end on Tuesday in mixed performance.

Data from Bureau De Change Operators in Abuja showed that the Naira fell to N1515 per dollar on Tuesday from N1506 exchanged on Monday.

This means that the Naira dropped by N9 against the dollar on Tuesday compared to the N1506 exchange rate the previous day.

Meanwhile, the Naira cooled off slightly at the official market.

The Central Bank of Nigeria’s FX data showed that the Naira strengthened to N1,491.67 per dollar on Tuesday from N1,492.49 on Monday. Accordingly, it gained N0.82 per dollar on Tuesday from N1,492.49 on Monday.

The development indicates Naira’s fluctuations against the dollar have persisted in the past days at the FX markets.

On Monday, the Naira depreciated across FX markets, kicking off the week on a negative note.
