New Year: Let’s keep hope alive, Adereti charges Nigerians

As 2024 begins, a former House of Representatives candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 House of Representatives election, Ife federal constituency, Engineer Benjamen Kayode Adereti has called on Nigerians to remain prayerful and keep hope alive as better future ahead in the new year 2024.

Adereti in a New Year message, stressed that the beginning of every year comes with hope, optimism, feeling of opportunity and greater expectations.

According to him, while the challenges facing Nigerians were daunting, as they are not insurmountable, hence the need for all Nigerians to approach the New Year with a positive mindset and hope.

He said, “As we celebrate the beginning of 2024, we must also look back on the outgone year, with the knowledge that brighter days are ahead of us. Although, our challenges are daunting, we must be courageous and determined to rise up and meet them.

“It is this spirit that will keep Nigerians going until we reach the desired destination of a prosperous and bountiful Nigeria that our founding fathers fought for’, he said.

He added that the challenges the citizens are facing due to subsidy removed will soon be a thing of the past as the country is going through economic rebirth, stressing that there is bumper harvest for the citizens in the renew hope agenda of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.

The former APC candidate reintrated the commitment of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the economic prosperity of the country through several ongoing reforms in all the critical sectors of the economy, adding that more dividends of democracy await them in the coming years.

“I want to admonish you, therefore, to continue to exude and maintain the good virtues of fundamentals of peace, hard work, honesty, resourcefulness and selflessness that have earned the country laurels as a people and a nation.

“I solicit your continued support and prayers for our leaders at all levels as we enter this year 2024. I pray that the good Lord will continue to bless you, guide and guard you and your family, and grant you blessings throughout the New Year”, he declared.

Adereti used the opportunity to thank his political family, leaders of APC in Ile-Ife for the support they have been given to the party in the outgone year 2023 in spite of the temporary setback the party had in the past in the state.

He wished all Nigerians, especially his family, political leaders and supporters a happy and prosperous New Year.
