A Non-governmental organization, Osogbo Living Spring Leo Club has charged well-meaning Nigerians, cooperate organizations to use the ongoing festive period to demonstrate the spirit of giving to the needy and less privilege in their society.
The NGO said by doing this depression, which many has died of and suicide will be reduced to the nearest minimal among the needy.
Speaking at the presentation of different items worth N20,000 on Saturday to the management of Jaleyemi Orphanage Home, Osogbo, President of the NGO, Leo Opeyemi AbdulSalam said their visit to the orphanage home was among many humanitarian services his club has rendered in 2020.
“Donation of these useful items to the orphanage home was one among many projects of the club to end this year in appreciation to God’s protection on our lives amidst Covid-19 and EndSARS crisis ” he said.
The NGO president also urged individuals, cooperate organizations to work on identifying the needy in their society and use this festival period in extending charity to them.
According to Leo AbdulSalam ” Their is no society without the needy, this is why we must all learn the habit of giving to others and encourage charity program with donation.
Mrs Ahmed Dupe who spoke on behalf of Jaleyemi Orphanage Home lauded the NGO for the provision donated to them, adding that it will support the upkeep of the children.
Mrs Dupe charged members of the NGO to continue with their kind gesture, adding that the door of the orphanage home will always be opened to receive them at anytime.
