A state that doesn’t give room for youth to partake in governance will surely end up in doom. To prevent this, it is pertinent to give room for youth in pouring out acceptable and useful ideas that will transcend our state for better.

Who are the youth?

Youth are the young ones, who are on the verge of attaining the adulthood. They are in between ages 18-36years. They’re the inheritors of a state after the departure of the elders. A state who fails to give regards to them will surely end up in ruin. To prevent this, it’s essential to allow active participation of them in governmental affairs. That’s why Yoruba would say; culture and tradition will fail if we don’t teach our children will surely fade away. To prevent that, we need to act now.

However, we are calling on our leaders across the federation to give room for the youth, youth themselves to fight vigorously for their place at every spheres of administration in allowing their presence to be felt. As a responsible and brainmind fellow, who aim to contribute positively to the growth and development of our fathers’ land, it’s essential to wake up from slumbering and give out ideas that will pull out this country from retrogression. The youth of today, have a lot of task to bear and readily available to stand affirm in ensuring good governance is giving out by our leaders.

Youth are the leaders of tomorrow but it starts now. The youth that will bring development to his country shouldn’t wait till tomorrow but to start doing his own best at every spheres he met himself because whoever will administer a large congregation will start from small. It’s so unfortunate that youth are pulling out leaving the country in the hand of selfish people to administer.

Moreover, I call on sensible and reasonable youth not to wait again before taking action. You’ll recall that the first man to carry out coup in this blessed country was Kaduna Nzeogwu, likewise those Elder statemen we are looking up to now ruled when they were young. Why allowing the same person to be directing and rulling us. It’s so pathetic that we don’t support ourselves in terms of needy.

As a youth, the country is in state of shambles, everything has turned upside down, the right and freedom we have, have been taken away from us in which we are not expected to express our feelings on how this country is. Life has become unbearable to live, to eat three-square meals is hard for everyone, looking at the age at which this country will clock soon, she’s no longer a baby, yet we’re still crawling on the same spot. I beesech to all youth across every areas, that it’s high time we fight for our rights by not being deprived of and remain vigilant, stand upright to resist any attempt to take this country backward by awakening our consciousness, open up our eyes, clear our ears and sensitize and orientate ourselves on the need to act now before it’ll be too late because whatever we do today, history will be fair to us. For the unborn generations to say what’s right, to meet the best they deserve, it’s our responsibilities to come up with ideologies by joining hands together no matter the tribe we belong to, by not allowing the unity and harmony binding us together to loose. We should learn from a 25years old man in Mali by leaving what won’t have impact in our lives and do the needful now.

Remember, a state that would experience peace would first experience war. Those countries we’re looking forward to, were worst than Nigeria in the past, and yet today we look forward to them in anything we want to embark. We shouldn’t allow differences in religion, tribes and lots more to affect our sense by seeing ourselves as one so that good development we’re craving for, eventually realised at the end. The time is now, to develop our fathers’ land. God bless us..
