As Nigeria celebrates her 62nd independence day anniversary, former Ogun State House of Assembly aspirant in Abeokuta North Local Government, Hon. Akeem Oluseye, has called for more involvement of youths in politics across the country.
The IT expert stated that the future and development of this country rest on the shoulders of the youths in the country as they have the intellectual capacity to lead Nigeria.
He made this call via a press statement personally signed by him and and made available to newsmen this morning.
The statement reads: “Dear Compatriots, to start with, I salute the efforts and courage of our heroes who fought for the freedom of this country.
“Today, as we celebrate 62nd anniversary of our independence from the colonial masters I urge our government across all levels to embark on policies that will support and enhance the living standards of Nigerians so that the efforts of our founding fathers will not be in vain.
“I also urge all Political parties and leaders at the helm of affairs to dedicate more positions to our teeming youths across all sectors as we have what’s take to perform excellently.
“We should also not forget to remain as one Nigeria. Let’s continue to live in peace as we are bound together with a strong tie. May God bless our country”.
