Former Governorship Aspirant, Osun State, Dr Taofeek Olayinka Ayinde, has called on the youths across the country to realize that they hold the keys to the greatness of Nigeria.

Ayinde made the call in a message titled “Independence: My Message to the youth” on Thursday and made available to newsmen in Osogbo, Osun State capital.

He changed the youths to take leadership from their immediate environment, says Nigeria’s survival is in their hands.

According to him, the future of the country belongs to the younger generation and they must be ready to take the bull by the horn on order to salvage it.

“I wish Nigerians, especially the youths, happy Independence day. Nigeria is sixty, but the future holds greater things for us as a nation.

“What the country needs to make it great lies in the hands of the youth and whatever the mistakes made by the past generations should be seen as something to learn from and not what will degrade it dampen their spirit. Nothing from the mistake of the last past should serve as hindrance for their progress. The future of this country belongs to the younger generation and they must be ready to shoulder the burden.

“It should be recalled that the Independence of the country was fought for by people on their youthful years and they conquered even the white men. What’s left is for the youths to take he bull by the horn and see that the future of Nigeria is in their hands.”
