The National Chairman of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Dr Boniface Okechukwu Aniebonam, has urged Nigerian Christians to seize the opportunity to pray for peace and show love to both Christians and people of other religions as their celebrate Christmas festival.
In a statement Rev. Emmanuel Olorunmagba, Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the party on Saturday, he encouraged Nigerians to love one another as the season signifies peace and love.
The National Chairman, Dr. Boniface Okechukwu Aniebonam who extends the good wishes as soon as he arrived Anambra State ahead of celebrating the yuletide in his village home stresses, “while Christmas has great significance for Christians everywhere, it also comes with the message of peace and good will as we mark the birth of the Prince of Peace.
Therefore, Nigerian Christians should not relent in praying for peace in the country and keep depicting the examplary life that Jesus lives by showing love to everyone irrespective of the religion individuals practice. The need for all Nigerians to show love to one another cannot be overemphasised.
“This period when there is more need of great hope for a brighter tomorrow, the message of hope and optimism gives us confidence towards playing our parts in building a new Nigeria, being confident that set-backs are temporary and we can achieve our dream for a new nation if we don’t give up on our beloved country”.
The business tycoon on behalf of the party (NNPP) he chairs concludes, “God bless everyone and happy Christmas celebrations”.
